Annie D. Murphy passed away July 1, 2017 after a four-year fight against lung cancer.

Born and raised in College Park, Maryland, Annie lived in Parsippany, New Jersey since 1983. A non-profit professional for her entire career, Annie co-founded Creature Comfort Pet Therapy, an organization that provides companionship and comfort to thousands of people with hundreds of wonderful animals and their handlers.

She was an avid hiker and biker and traveled much of the world. At home Annie was a runner, gardener, reader and a connoisseur of good food and good wine.

Annie is survived by two sisters, Liz Murphy of Ohio and Katie Schick of Maryland.  Annie will be tremendously missed by the many wonderful friends and animals that she leaves behind. Special friends are too numerous to mention, but they, along with dogs Rosie and Lola and Wilbur the cat, kept Annie's spirits up until the end.

"My wish for all of you and myself:

If you have a choice — smile; walk; find good friends; eat good food; help someone else; share your house with an animal; plant something; play, dance and be silly.  AND choose to — avoid toxic relationships; not eat too many potato chips or drink too many glasses of wine; stop obsessions and impatience; and lose the idea that there will always be time to do everything we want to do.  Do it now !!”
