What Is a Typical Visit Like?

 

Most visits generally last one hour.

 

Every facility has a contact person who is in charge of meeting the team when they arrive and escorting them through the visit.

 

Some visits will take place in a group setting and in addition to meeting and petting the animal, the handler might tell stories about their pet and perform some tricks or basic commands. Other visits will involve moving from room to room, visiting individually with anyone who wishes a visit and spending about 5 minutes per room.
